According to Statista, there are about three million people employed in the cleaning industry as of May 2020, and according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the industry is set to grow by 1.9% this year alone. There were 21,000 jobs advertised for janitorial staff in May 2022. Many of the positions were for hotels, resorts, office buildings, and other commercial properties. The average starting salary for cleaning staff was roughly $17 an hour.
The Medical Field
Every job in the medical field is booming, from doctors to nurses to CNAs to medical assistants to housekeeping staff in hospitals. There are 97,000 jobs posted online working in some capacity in the medical field. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, filling these work positions has been very difficult. Organizations are paying top dollar for anyone willing to work in a hospital, doctor’s office, nursing facility, and other medical settings.

The need for staff to work in those offices is tremendous. Grounds Maintenance and Landscapers
The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the need for ground maintenance workers will increase by 10% in the decade between 2019 and 2029. There are some serious perks to this type of work. For example, you can be outside all day every day. You get to work in nature and do something good for the environment.
You can expect to get paid well for your work since there is seemingly a shortage of people that want to work in this field. If you have a little experience under your belt, you may be able to get a sign-on bonus with the right company.

Fast food, restaurants, and bars are all experiencing shortages right now. Millennials are one of the highest-educated generations ever. They number about 83 million according to the Census Bureau, and they also happen to be the largest demographic group in the workforce. Fast food restaurants, sit-down eateries, bars, and other hospitality sectors are feeling the pinch of this highly educated generation and are having trouble finding people to work with.

In most cases, the company will provide training but does not provide things like a laptop. You will have to have your own. Many big companies are using remote workers to manage their customer care, including Amazon, Microsoft, and other corporate giants.
